SUNSHINE, RIver Swimming, YOGA & COaching IN PORTUGAL

Portugal, July 2026

A long-standing event in my summer calendar - and, I know, in many of yours!

We’re returning to the beautiful village of Amieira, in central Portugal, for a week of rest, nourishment and community.

This year the retreat runs from Sunday 26th July until Saturday 1st August.

Our time includes:

  • Morning yoga/movement session

  • Afternoon yin yoga or sound bath

  • Group coaching sessions

  • Riverside picnic

  • Wild Swimming

  • 3 delicious, fresh vegetarian meals per day

  • Countryside walks

  • Plenty of time to lounge by the pool with a great book

  • Stargazing on the roof deck

  • Loads of laughs and good conversations

What To Expect

Open-minded Community

A space and time where you don’t have to show up as anyone in particular, and where your responsibilities are reduced to simply being present.

Do as much or as little as you fancy. You’ll probably wear the same shorts and swimsuit all week, with little need for more. You’ll find thoughtful conversation (and a load of laughs) around the dinner table, and plenty of quiet time for reflection in a hammock.

Mind-Body-Spirit Nourishment!

Incredible, plentiful, locally-sourced and lovingly-prepared fresh food, three times each day. Which means a week where you won’t have to ask or hear the question “wha’ve I got for for dinner?” and you’ll never go hungry.

Yoga, movement & meditation practices tailored and adapted for all levels and varied to meet the energy levels of the day - there will be dynamic flows and bolster-rested snoozes; river swimming and country lane strolls on offer, too.

A Home Away From Home

Prepare to never want to leave; to lose track of your things all over the place because you feel so relaxed and at home here.

Help yourself to a tea and a book from the library; get acquainted with the cat, dogs and donkey, have a chat with the neighbours in the village.

Accommodation is comfy & rustic; we share bathrooms (there are a few en-suites) and we wash our own plates (and sometimes each others’). As one guest said, “it’s like staying with a relative you haven’t visited for a while”.

Pricing & How to Book

To make this retreat as accessible as possible, the prices are kept low in relation to other retreats I run. This is possible due to the generosity of the incredible owners of the space, my good pals, Peter & Sue.

Prices for single-occupancy accommodation for the week, with all food and yoga included, begin at £550.
