Coaching is a process designed to help you define and achieve your personal or professional goals. It involves gently structured conversations that encourage self-discovery and development in the direction you choose.
As a fully accredited and experienced coach, Kate provides guidance, support, and accountability to help your progress; calling you out when you’re making excuses and pulling you out when you’re spiralling into an existential hole.
Change can be tough and complex - and loads of common coaching methods can be patronisingly simplistic! You won’t find quick-fixes that don’t last here.

At the moment, I coach primarily online, via Zoom (Teams and Skype are options if you prefer). If you’re in the Bristol, UK, area and the weather is decent, we can have our sessions outside on a walk - one of my favourite ways to coach!

Sessions typically last for one hour.
If you feel you want more time, just let me know and we can arrange a longer session at a pro-rated fee.

You can have an many as you like!
Some clients start to see results in as few as 3 sessions but sustainable changes take a little longer to implement. I usually work in blocks of 6 or 10 sessions, encouraging continuity and measured commitment to new habits and goals. This unhurried approach fosters deeper, lasting shifts.

At the heart of coaching is the premise that you, the coachee, are the expert and have the answers you need within you. I'm here to assist in your realisation and affirmation of that, rather than to give you the perfect answers.
That said, I can share information from studies in psychology, neuroscience, mindfulness and wellbeing that inform my coaching practice, as well as practices and tools that we agree are useful to you.

Yes. Although coaching is a goals-focused practice, you don’t have to have precise goals to begin coaching; it can be your goal to discover goals! There are many ways we can explore the practical and existential angles of this question.

Note: if you are struggling with a mental health condition, an addiction or unresolved trauma, working with a counsellor or psychotherapist who is trained in those areas first -or alongside coaching- may be more appropriate. I can provide recommendations in this area, just get in touch.
